The summer is over

01 Sep

Well, today is the first day of Autumn, Labor Day in the Sates and the first day of school in Latvia.
I don’t know why the summer always passes so fast. I am waiting for these sunny and warm days seems like forever and I am always not having enough of them.
This summer was different, I spent it in Spain. It was so hot in here and sunny all the time. I thought I will never survive it, but I did. And guess what?! I am starting to miss the hot weather already. Luckily it is still warm and sunny here, but the thought about Autumn is killing me. I hate when it’s rainy and cold, I don’t like to wear boots and coats, I prefer flip flops and t-shirts :)
Anyway, this summer was great! I traveled a lot, visited my friends in Latvia, had marvelous time on my friends’ wedding, some friends came to visit me here in Marbella. I saw the amazing capital of Spain – Madrid, had fun during Sex and the City 2 premiere with my friend in Barcelona, got sun burnt in Alicante, saw a lot of Apes in Gibraltar, was driving in cable car over Benelmadena, saw amazing shoes which I am now dying to buy in Malaga, loved the beach in San Pedro, watched a lot of cool movies in Fuengirola, tried white Sangria in Marbella’s old town, ate tapas with friends in Tarifa, tried to visit Alhambra in Granada twice still didn’t make it to the palace, saw breathtaking bridge in Ronda, huge port in Algeciras and glamorous marina in Puerto Banus. And yes, Spain winning the World Cup!!
These were my highlights of the summer 2010. I hope that Autumn will be as much fun!
What about you, my friends?!
Good luck!

My new life starts in Marbella, Spain

12 Apr

So, I haven’t been seen here on my site for quite a long time. Well, I was a little bit busy packing my stuff :) Yeah, I started a completely new life in Marbella, Spain. Don’t know if I like it so far, don’t know anything, but at least it is something new, new experience, new people, new places. I was planing to move for a long time now, and finally my dreams came into reality. Unexpected reality. I was not planning to go to Spain, because I don’t know the language, and trust me without Spanish language here you are screwed :) So, this is one more positive thing, I will learn one more language pretty soon :) I know Russian, English, Latvian and now it will be Spanish! How cool is that?!

What I am missing so far is communication with my friends, I really miss our Saturday’s poker tournaments and barbecues in the summer. Now, I need to find new friends, which will be hard (I hope not, really).

And, Yeah! Have I told you that all your dreams Do come true eventually! I wanted to live in a luxurious surroundings, and here I  am in Puerto Banus, one of the best Marinas in Europe!

So, don’t forget to dream a lot :)

Kisses,

Julia
