You Are Not From Here

11 Apr

I have recorded my cover version of the famous and grand song by Lara Fabian – “You Are Not From Here” and my husband created slideshow of my photos :) You can check what we two have come up with here:

My Names Day is Today!

16 Feb

There is a great tradition in Latvia to celebrate the name of the person, called the Names Day. Each name has a certain day which is marked in the calendar and all your friends can actually come to your house that day without your invitation to celebrate this day with you.
My name is Julia and the 16th of February is marked as the day of my name in Latvia. It’s a pity that this day is only celebrated as my Names Day in Latvia and the rest of the world don’t even know about such thing.
It was nice to realize that my friends from Latvia remembered about my little holiday and have sent a lot of warm wishes.
Life is beautiful as well as my name!

Hugs,
Julia

My Version of “You Are Not From Here” song by Lara Fabian

14 Jan

Hello,

Haven’t been here on my personal page for ages, mainly because of a lot of work I am doing at the moment on my Rich Girls Club website, which turns out to be very successful. So, I am really sorry for not updating here.
But, guess what?! I have great news, I just came home from recording studio here in Marbella, where I just recorded my version of Lara Fabian’s hit song “You Are Not From Here”. This song is really hard, but I love it! It is so emotional, I almost cried when I was singing it. I can’t wait to share it with you!!
You can hear the result here: http://dump.ru/file/5016680

Let me know what do you think about it! I would love to hear your opinion on this!

Hugs,

Julia

The summer is over

01 Sep

Well, today is the first day of Autumn, Labor Day in the Sates and the first day of school in Latvia.
I don’t know why the summer always passes so fast. I am waiting for these sunny and warm days seems like forever and I am always not having enough of them.
This summer was different, I spent it in Spain. It was so hot in here and sunny all the time. I thought I will never survive it, but I did. And guess what?! I am starting to miss the hot weather already. Luckily it is still warm and sunny here, but the thought about Autumn is killing me. I hate when it’s rainy and cold, I don’t like to wear boots and coats, I prefer flip flops and t-shirts :)
Anyway, this summer was great! I traveled a lot, visited my friends in Latvia, had marvelous time on my friends’ wedding, some friends came to visit me here in Marbella. I saw the amazing capital of Spain – Madrid, had fun during Sex and the City 2 premiere with my friend in Barcelona, got sun burnt in Alicante, saw a lot of Apes in Gibraltar, was driving in cable car over Benelmadena, saw amazing shoes which I am now dying to buy in Malaga, loved the beach in San Pedro, watched a lot of cool movies in Fuengirola, tried white Sangria in Marbella’s old town, ate tapas with friends in Tarifa, tried to visit Alhambra in Granada twice still didn’t make it to the palace, saw breathtaking bridge in Ronda, huge port in Algeciras and glamorous marina in Puerto Banus. And yes, Spain winning the World Cup!!
These were my highlights of the summer 2010. I hope that Autumn will be as much fun!
What about you, my friends?!
Good luck!

Official Release of my New Song and Video!!

30 Apr

OMG! I can’t believe that this day has finally come! Today I am presenting my new song and my video! I am so excited! I was waiting for this moment long long time, I was going to vocal classes for years, I was searching for people who would be able to write me a song and I never thought that making a video is such a hard and time consuming job (I edited video myself that’s why it’s amateur, but great anyway!)  :)

I want to thank everyone, who helped me on this journey: HUGE thanks to my Teacher: Tatjana Koroleva. Without her I would not be able to open my mouth!  Thanks to Neplagiat Production for being patient with me and so creative! Special thanks to Jurij Bibarcev (lyrics) and Artur Mgdesjan (music). Great thanks to Edgar Petrenko for helping out! And THE BIGGEST THANKS to my husband Eduard for believing in me, for support, for filming the footage and sponsorship! :D Would like also thank all my friends who encouraged me to sing :)

And of course, Thank You for Watching!! :)

The song is in Russian, but I think you will enjoy the views of amazing Costa del Sol, Spain.

You can download my song for Free here Julia Travchenko – Nasha Vesna.mp3

I just love to be photographed :)

13 Apr

I just love when great photographers take pictures of me :) I would pose for them all day long if they’d ask me :) I was at one wedding where photographer actually was my good friend and former colleague. She took some pictures of me which I adored. Just look at them, I look like a Queen! Thank you, Dinara for making me feel and look sooo beautiful!

Here is a sneak pic to the photo shoot. Let me know what do you think?!

My new life starts in Marbella, Spain

12 Apr

So, I haven’t been seen here on my site for quite a long time. Well, I was a little bit busy packing my stuff :) Yeah, I started a completely new life in Marbella, Spain. Don’t know if I like it so far, don’t know anything, but at least it is something new, new experience, new people, new places. I was planing to move for a long time now, and finally my dreams came into reality. Unexpected reality. I was not planning to go to Spain, because I don’t know the language, and trust me without Spanish language here you are screwed :) So, this is one more positive thing, I will learn one more language pretty soon :) I know Russian, English, Latvian and now it will be Spanish! How cool is that?!

What I am missing so far is communication with my friends, I really miss our Saturday’s poker tournaments and barbecues in the summer. Now, I need to find new friends, which will be hard (I hope not, really).

And, Yeah! Have I told you that all your dreams Do come true eventually! I wanted to live in a luxurious surroundings, and here I  am in Puerto Banus, one of the best Marinas in Europe!

So, don’t forget to dream a lot :)

Kisses,

Julia

My first post on my personal space.

09 Dec

Hello, everyone!

I am so happy to open my huge personal project :) I was thinking about it for so long and now the time has come! So that you could understand more about my project I asked my friend to conduct a tiny interview :) Below is a small questions/answers session where I explain a little bit about my site.

Why you called your site: To be Julia Travchenko?

Well, I want to have my personal space on the Internet, where all my friends and relatives could find the latest information about my life and for new people to get to know me better.

Why you couldn’t create just a Twitter account or page on Facebook?

The answer is simple, because I already have these accounts. And maybe because of all those numerous accounts I have  created all over the Internet I just want to have one place, where I could link all my accounts together and let people decide what account to follow and what resource to use.

Are you a famous person to have your own site?

Not yet.

Do you think that people will visit your site?

I hope so. Anyway I will try to write about my life, about my feelings, post some cool pictures as well as upload videos. I am sure that on my site there will be one person for sure, and this person will be me! Others are more than welcome to join me.

Anything else?

Let’s see how it goes. I am very excited, just hope that I have a lot of patience and ideas to keep up this site and make it interesting.

Good luck!

Welcome to ” To Be Julia Travchenko” site! Let’s have some fun :)
